Shavelle Marie, Founder and Executive Director of Arise Women’s Foundation
Founder & Executive Director

Founded by Shavelle Marie

After surviving an 11-year marriage marked by narcissistic abuse and domestic violence, Shavelle Marie reached the moment when enough was enough. Yet leaving was only the beginning. Through many years of therapy and by leaning deeply into her faith in God, she began the difficult work of healing, rebuilding, and rediscovering her voice. Today, she can share her story without being overcome by tears—not because the past has been erased, but because God transformed her pain into purpose.

Arise Women’s Foundation was born from that healing journey and a calling to ensure women and families do not have to rebuild alone. Through Arise, survivors are reminded that they can rise from what they have endured, reclaim their strength and God-given identity, and move forward into a life where they can truly thrive.

As a mother, business professional, entrepreneur, ministry leader, advocate, author, and media voice, Shavelle understands that true restoration must care for the whole woman—spiritually, emotionally, practically, and economically. Her leadership connects compassion with action, creating pathways toward healing, career readiness, stability, independence, and renewed purpose.

Shavelle is the author of Arise, Woman: Empowering the Woman Within and a co-author of the Amazon bestseller Daily Dose of Declarations. Through her writing, she encourages women to reclaim their voices, embrace their identity, walk boldly in faith, and move forward with purpose. In recognition of her leadership and community impact, Shavelle has been nominated to receive an honorary doctorate in Business Leadership.

As a co-host of The Let’s Talk Show in the Valley, Shavelle uses her voice and platform throughout the year to educate the community, raise awareness, and advocate against domestic violence and narcissistic abuse. Her year-round work also includes survivor advocacy, community education, volunteer outreach, annual backpack and holiday toy drives, and strategic partnerships that make hope visible and accessible. She remains committed to strengthening protections for survivors and equipping churches and faith communities to respond with wisdom, compassion, accountability, and care.

Her vision is to see women and their children rise from survival into freedom—surrounded by safe support, strengthened through opportunity, rooted in faith, and empowered to build a lasting legacy.

“You can heal. You can rebuild. You can arise.”
